BUD!
A downloadable bud
BUD!
-
Bud is a tiny pixel creature who lives on your desktop.
Not inside a window you open and close...
On your desktop, right on top of everything, doing his own thing while you work, browse, or just hang out.
-
He wanders around, blinks, watches your cursor, gets excited, gets bored, and curls up to sleep when it gets late. The longer he's around, the more he feels like he's actually... there.
A little world that runs in real time.
-
Bud's world moves with your real day. It's warm and bright in the afternoon, dims at dusk, and at midnight the whole screen fades to black while he sleeps. At 6 AM the sun comes back up. You don't really play Bud so much as live alongside him.
-
Look after him...
Bud gets hungry, tired, and loses energy over time. Keep an eye on him, earn coins, browse the shop, buy novel items, and dress him up with hats, glasses, and other silly little things until he's unmistakably yours.
-
Cozy to the core:
- Lives on your desktop - borderless and transparent, never stuck in a box
- Tons of little hand-made animations.
- A real-time day/night cycle that recolors the whole world
- Swappable color palettes
- A retro style boot-up and save slots
- He genuinely feels alive
- Nostalgic pixel art and sounds
-
Disclaimer:
Bud is being made by one person, and is in active, ongoing development. New things land all the time. If you like watching a tiny world grow, you're in the right place.
